काल बिजॉन रॉय गुप्ता यांच्या बंगाली कथेचा अनुवाद वाचताना त्यात एक सुंदर शब्द आला... *गोधुली* . हा शब्द मी खुप पुर्वी कॉलेज जीवनात असताना ऐकला होता . काही शब्दांचं नादमाधुर्य इतकं सुंदर असतं की ते उच्चारताच त्यातली  स्वर आलापी जाणवुन येते . गोधुली हा शब्द असाच . हा शब्द मी पुर्वी गजरा ह्या दूरचित्रवाणीच्या कार्यक्रमासाठी उषा मंगेशकरानी आपल्या मुलाखतीत वापरल्याच मला आठवतय . त्यांतर भावसरगम ह्या कार्यक्रमात त्यांनी  कान्हा घेउनी जाय . वनी धेनु घेउनी जाय .. संगे चाले सिदाम सुदाम ... या एका बंगाली गाण्यावरुन घेतलेल्या गोड गाण्याची माहीती सांगताना वापरला होता . आमच्या शेजारी श्री वामन निवास हा मठ आहे . या मठात दर वर्षी परमपूज्य गुळवणी महाराजांच्या उत्सवाला प्रसिध्द साहीत्यीक श्री राम शेवाळकर नेहमी यायचे . एकदा मी भेटायला गेलो . तेव्हा  गोधुली ह्या शब्दाचा अर्थ त्यांना विचारला . शेवाळकर काकांनी " गोधुली " ह्या शब्दाचा अर्थच नुसता सांगितला अस नाही तर त्याची फोड करुन सांगितली. गोधुली म्हणजे ... पूर्वी गुराखी  गायी चरायला जंगलात , दूर नेत असत. प्राण्याना वेळ खुप छान कळते. ठरावीक वेळ ही

A Clean House Is a Sign of Wasted Life LADIES!!! Remember ... a layer of dust protects the Wood beneath it. 'A house becomes a home when you can write 'I love you' on the furniture.' I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect - 'in case someone came over'.  Finally I realized one day that no-one came over; they were all out living life and having fun! NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the 'condition' of my home. They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun.
