Chain carved in stone

The chain depicted in the picture is so realistic, but it is not of iron or any metal ; rather is carved in stone.

The noteworthy point is... That when a such a chain is made of iron... All the rings are made separately and then fitted together... Though, if needed... the rings can again be pulled apart to open. ( In some cases welding may be done to avoid opening of the rings , but usually the rings CAN OPEN !!) Here... The CHAIN IS ENTIRETY CARVED IN STONE, SO HOW WERE THE RINGS FITTED TOGETHER TO FORM THE CHAIN ??!!

I mean... at times... The spellbounding talent of the Hindu ancestors leaves one BEWILDERED & pleasantly AMAZED !! Also... Dumbfounded..
